Using the service

By creating an account or using the tools, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

The tools help assess and change PDF accessibility information. They do not certify that a document is fully accessible or that it meets every legal or technical requirement. Human review and appropriate testing of the generated PDF remain necessary before sharing it.

Accounts and early access

One A11yRoo account is used for PDF Auditor and PDF Editor. Email verification and administrator approval are required before workspace access. Keep your account information accurate and protect your sign-in credentials. Tell support@a11yroo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Initial early access is free for approved accounts, within administrator-set AI allowances and project limits. The AI cost estimates shown in the tools describe provider usage; they are not an automatic customer charge. New Auditor accounts start with a $0 monthly allowance until an administrator assigns one. Allowances can be changed, and a workflow may pause when its next AI step exceeds the available allowance.

A11yRoo may change early-access availability or introduce paid plans in the future. We will communicate the applicable price and terms before asking you to pay. Separately agreed consulting or specialist review services are outside the free tool allowance.

Your content and permission to process it

You retain ownership of your PDFs, instructions, and other content. You give A11yRoo permission to receive, store, process, and return that content as needed to provide the workflows you request, including processing by the providers described in the Privacy Policy.

Only upload documents you are authorized to share with those providers. You are responsible for following your organization’s rules and for obtaining any necessary permissions. Contact us before uploading documents subject to confidentiality, regional-processing, or regulated-data requirements that the standard service may not meet.

Reviewing proposed changes

AI interpretations and automated findings can be incomplete or incorrect. Check that the proposed changes target the intended content and preserve information that must remain unchanged. Review the output with suitable accessibility tools and human judgment.

The tools normally create a separate output copy. Keep your original source and download important results. A preview, successful processing message, or high score is not a guarantee that every accessibility issue has been resolved.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity; upload content you have no right to process; interfere with the service; bypass account permissions, spending limits, or security controls; or attempt to access another person’s private projects. Do not misrepresent automated results as an independent accessibility certification.

We may limit or suspend access to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with legal obligations. Contact support if you believe access was restricted in error.

Storage and availability

Saved projects have expiry and deletion rules explained in the Privacy Policy and in the application. Keep project extends retention where the application offers that control. The service is not a permanent document archive; maintain your own copies.

Early-access features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant service changes. Processing relies on external providers, and successful operation cannot be guaranteed for every PDF.

Responsibility and applicable rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the services are provided as available without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free results, or fitness for a particular accessibility or compliance purpose. You remain responsible for deciding whether a generated document is suitable for its intended use.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. These terms do not waive your privacy rights or transfer ownership of your content.

Changes and contact

We will update the date on these terms when they change and provide notice of material changes affecting existing account use through the service or an account message as appropriate.
